Description: Things should be great for Janie—she has graduated from high school and is spending her summer with Cabel, the guy she’s totally in love with. But deep down she’s panicking about how she’s going to survive her future when getting sucked into other people’s dreams is really starting to take its toll. Things get even more complicated when she meets her father for the very first time—and he’s in a coma. As Janie uncovers his secret past, she begins to realize that the choice thought she had has more dire consequences than she ever imagined. (Taken from Goodreads.com)
My Review: Wow! I was absolutely in NO way expecting what got thrown at us in this book. After reading Fade, we knew what Janie was facing with regards to her dream catching ability and we knew she had a decision to make (stay or isolate), but we had no idea that this turn of events was going to happen. In this third book, we meet a new character that puts a whole new spin on things and this really opens up a whole new side of Janie. I think her character became much deeper in this third book and I felt so much sadness for her when things began to unravel. I cannot begin to tell you how shocked I was at the way things turned out. I really enjoyed the ending (though I wish there had been a little more depth to the situation with Janie's mother). After Fade, I really wasn't sure how this series could end on a good note, but McMann certainly threw a curve ball and it was a major one. I definitely recommend this series!!
My Rating: I really liked it
